Refund Policy

At Darjeeling Sikkim Taxi, we understand that travel plans may change. This Refund Policy explains the terms under which cancellations and refunds are processed for taxi bookings, tour packages, and travel-related services booked through our website or offline channels.

By booking our services, you agree to the terms mentioned below.

1. Cancellation Policy for Taxi Bookings

✔ More than 72 Hours Before Travel

  • 90% refund of the advance amount.

  • 10% deducted as administrative and processing charges.

✔ 48 – 72 Hours Before Travel

  • 50% refund of the advance amount.

✔ Less than 48 Hours Before Travel

  • No refund will be provided.

✔ No Show

  • 100% cancellation charges apply.

  • No refund.

2. Cancellation Policy for Tour Packages

Tour packages may include hotel bookings, permits, sightseeing arrangements, and driver allocations. Therefore, cancellation charges may vary depending on hotel and permit policies.

✔ 7 Days Before Tour Start Date

  • 75% refund (excluding hotel/permit non-refundable charges).

✔ 3 – 7 Days Before Tour

  • 50% refund.

✔ Less than 3 Days Before Tour

  • No refund.

If hotels or third-party vendors apply stricter cancellation rules, those policies will override the above terms.

3. North Sikkim & Permit-Based Tours

For destinations like:

  • North Sikkim (Lachen / Lachung / Yumthang)

  • Nathula Pass

  • Other restricted permit areas

Permit fees and processing charges are non-refundable once permits are issued.

4. Refund Processing Timeline

  • Approved refunds will be processed within 7–14 working days.

  • Refunds will be made via the original mode of payment.

  • Bank processing time may vary depending on the payment provider.

5. Situations Where Refunds Will Not Be Provided

  • Road blockage due to landslides or weather.

  • Natural disasters or government restrictions.

  • Passenger delay or failure to arrive at pickup location.

  • Early tour termination by customer choice.

  • Service disruption due to unavoidable circumstances beyond our control.

6. Rescheduling Policy

In some cases, we may allow rescheduling instead of cancellation:

  • Subject to availability.

  • Price difference (if any) must be paid by customer.

  • Rescheduling requests must be made at least 48 hours prior to travel.

7. Company-Initiated Cancellation

If Darjeeling Sikkim Taxi cancels a confirmed booking due to operational reasons:

  • 100% refund will be provided.

  • Alternatively, customer may choose rescheduling without extra charge.

Important Note

Refunds are processed only after verification of booking and payment records. Processing charges, payment gateway fees, and third-party deductions (if applicable) may be deducted from the refundable amount.
