Lachung sits beyond Chungthang. You still have:
- The north-road descent to Mangan and Gangtok
- Rangpo exit check
- NH10 to Sevoke and the airport
Fog, ice, a landslide, or a long Rangpo queue can add 1–2 hours. Build at least 9 hours door to door, then add airline reporting time (usually 2 hours before domestic departure).

Leave Lachung at 5:00–6:00 AM. No Yumthang that morning. Flight evening only.

Permits and check posts on the way out
You already used PAP to enter Lachung. Keep the same IDs in the cabin for outbound posts at Chungthang and Rangpo. Foreign guests keep passport / RAP copies handy.
We do not need a new north permit to leave. We do need the same SUV class — a random Gangtok sedan sent up at 4:00 AM is the wrong vehicle.
